i want to go to heaven
People are born, we live, and we die. Death, however, is not the end. It's merely the beginning of eternity where our souls will go on and on in one of two places. Heaven or Hell. Heaven is a place of eternal life with God where there is no hunger, thirst, or suffering of any kind. Hell, on the other hand, is a place of eternal death apart from God where there is only sorrow and pain.
The bad news is only good people can go to Heaven, and since all of us have sinned, or broken one of Gods moral laws at least once in our lifetime, Heaven is off limits to us.
The good news is God wants everyone to live with Him in eternity, so He gave His only Son Jesus to pay the penalty price for our sins with His life so we can be forgiven and free to go to Heaven. In other words, we now have a say in our eternal destination! And if we choose to go to Heaven, here's what we must do:
- Believe that Jesus paid the penalty price for our sins
- Admit that we have sinned against God and others, and be truly sorry for it
- Ask God to forgive us of your sins in the name of Jesus
- Grow to love God and people more and more each day
And here are some pro tips that will help along the way:
- Read the Bible and talk with God (pray) every day
- Regularly attend the Church of your choice
- Work on being a good person who does good deeds
- Tell others about Jesus so they can go to Heaven, too
